F.A.W.B. Initial Volunteer Committees
(all Committee activities subject to approval of the Board)
The Board will organize a meeting with volunteers every 8 weeks at which time the Committee Directors will present their agenda for Board meetings and discuss their field activities, concerns, financial needs, etc.

Public Relations and Donations (contact: Mrs Elly Albers Telephone 7805353 Email: info@mangrovecenter.org )
This committee will be responsible for:
- Press Releases
- Fundraising activities
- Acknowledging donations
- Creation of F.A.W.B. website

Education (contact: Mrs Elly Albers Telephone 7805353 Email: info@mangrovecenter.org)
This committee will be responsible for:
- Developing and maintaining a network with the local schools and Jong Bonaire for educational programs
- Drafting an educational plan in cooperation with STINAPA
- Developing written community education materials

Community Contact Center (contact: Mrs Elly Albers Telephone 7805353 Email: info@mangrovecenter.org)
This committee will be responsible for:
- The supervision of a dedicated phone line for the public to report concerns, observations, and suggestions regarding animal welfare on the island. These will be documented and volunteers will offer any advice and assistance as is appropriate.
- Communicating with local agencies, veterinarians, and authorities so as to facilitate the above.

Training and scheduling of volunteers for the above.

This committee will be responsible for:
- Researching existing, and developing new, protocols concerning euthanasia, vaccinations, sterilizations, etc.
- Monitoring compliance with the above.
- Developing definitions of animal 'cruelty', 'abuse' and 'neglect'.
- Researching existing legislation (Bonaire and Holland) and procedures for introducing new legislation.
- Working to develop new legislation regarding the above.
